Fifine AM8PROT Shock-Mount Guide:

  1. Grab the Fifne AM8PROT Mic and thread the 2 thumb screws out

2. Slide the “fork” style mic handle out and move the Fifne AM8T Mic; we don’t need it for now. Inside the "fork," you have 2 O-rings. Push them out from the inside of the fork, and they should just pop out. Set them aside; we will need them for the next step. We will also need the 2 thumb screws and the washers that came with them.

.

3. Now, we need to press the o-rings from the last step into our new shock mount. The rings have a smaller diameter on one side and a larger one on the other. Press the smaller diamater from the outside of the ring inside, and they should pop right in, make sure you your part looks like the images below.

4. Slide the entire assembly onto the Fifine AM8PROT mic. Make sure the shock mount is oriented correctly, with the opening facing the control buttons, and that nothing is covering or blocking it.  In this image, the mic is facing backward due to the way im mounting my mic, but your will be facing forward. If you want to change it to the way I'm mounting the mic, you need to take the 4 shockmount orings out and turn the inner ring( of the shockmount 180 degs)

5. Push the inner shock mount holder up and slide the thumb screw in one at a time ( due to the size of the thumb screws, you might need to screw the first thumbscrew in first before inserting the other one; do not fully tighten it until they're both in).

And you’re done!! You assembled the Printing Pilot Fifine AM8PROT Shock Mount!

PLEASE MAKE SURE, while screwing the entire shock mount assembly back onto the boom arm, to screw it in as straight as you can. This is a 3d printed thread. It works great, but if you cross-thread it, you will destroy the threads, and we won't send you a replacement part for it.
