Smart PC Volume Controller quick start guide:
-
Install the CH340 drivers. Download them here. Unzip the file, then double-click the EXE file.
You will be greeted with this window: ( if nothing happens, try to right-click on the EXE file and “run as administrator”).

All you have to do here is just press the install button!
2. Next step is to download the Volumix software from the link here. and download the .exe file (Volumix-Setup-XX.XX.XX.exe). double-click on the .EXE file. You will be greeted with this window:

Continue with the app installation, and the Volumix icon will appear on your desktop. After launching the app, you might need to press the show hidden icons arrow at the bottom-right corner of your screen, as shown in the picture below. Then double click on the Volumix icon.

3. Connecting to your Faderbox:
On the Volumix app, press the settings wheel as shown in the picture below:

Then, under connection, choose the COM port that the Faderbox is connected to. It will probably recognize it automatically (As Fadebox), and you will have only one port to choose from, see the picture below:

If you want, you can press on the "reconnect to last port automatically," and next time, after reboot or restart of the Volumix software, the software will try to automagically reconnect to the Faderbox.
Congratulation! Your Smart Midi controller is now connected and ready to go!
4. Now let’s check that everything is working. You should see a green dot with the word connected next to it. Now, if you try to move the sliders on your Faderbox device, they will also move in the software.

5. Last step! Now we will learn how to use the software and how to assign an app to a specific slider. Below each slider, we will see a Pill. While pressing it, we will be greeted with a page to assign an app to that slider. Under System, we will see the master volume. We can press on that and then press done. Now, you have assigned the Master Volume to the first slider. Under currently playing, you can see all the apps that are actually playing sounds right now, and under open apps, you can see all the apps that run and can make sound but are not currently making any sound.
For example, let's search for the Spotify app:We are going to see the app in the app list. All we have to do now is open the app, make sure the check mark is there, then press done.

Now you can see that Spotify is assigned to that slider. You can also assign multiple apps per slider, and Faderbox will control all of them. For example, you can add all the games you’re playing under one slider, then when that specific game is playing, the slider will control it! How cool is that?
If you want, you can also change the slider's name if you have multiple apps assigned to it. Just right-click on the pill.

Another cool thing is that you can also control input devices, like microphones. You will see that option under input devices.
If you want Volumix to start on boot, you can toggle the start on system boot option under Startup in the Appearance settings page.

The software is always evolving, and we release updates frequently. So if you want to see all the features and keep updates with new stuff, make sure to check and start my Repo on GitHub.
That’s it! Hope you enjoy your Faderbox, and thank you for choosing The Printing Pilot Store!
